This Track is based on a half-time groove in "3", that sets up a kick section which creates an interesting 8 bar phrase. One way to approach this very challenging feel is to play the groove and watch the kicks go by. When this feels comfortable, then start catching (hitting) the kicks. This track leaves lots of room for creativity. Playing 4 against 3 and utilizing the kicks to start odd phrases are two devices used on this demo. Eighth, sixteenth and triplet solo material all seem to work on the track.
