Danny Embrey guitar Guitarist/composer/instructor Danny Embrey has toured and performed with Sergio Mendes, Clare Fischer’s Latin Band and Karrin Allyson, as well as Gary Foster, Steve Houghton, Alan Broadbent, Gene Harris, Bob Brookmeyer, Bob Sheppard, Frank Mantooth and Interstring. He can be heard on albums by Clare Fischer, Steve Houghton, Frank Mantooth, and Interstring. Danny has performed on many recordings with jazz singer Karrin Allyson, as well as co-producing two of her albums: I Didn’t Know About You and Azure-Te. He taught guitar at Western Washington University and remains active in music education as a guest instructor at clinics throughout the United States.

Bob Bowman bass Bob Bowman learned to play the piano and clarinet before beginning bass lessons at age 12 and quickly became an award-winning performer. He won a scholarship to the Stan Kenton Jazz Clinic as a high school freshman, followed by study at North Texas State University. In 1976, he joined the famous Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, touring and recording several albums, including the Grammy award-winning Live at Munich. Bob continued his performing and recording career by joining the Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabakin Big Band in Los Angeles in 1979. He recorded numerous albums as a member of this band, many of which were nominated for Grammy Awards. While based in Los Angeles, Bob toured with the legendary Carmen McRae and performed with Freddie Hubbard, Bud Shank and others. Bob moved to Kansas City in 1988 where he has been a vibrant part of the jazz scene there. He is a member of the University of Missouri at Kansas City Faculty Jazztet, and leads the Interstring Quartet. Bob continues to tour and record with jazz artist Karrin Allyson and teaches many workshops.

John Beasley piano John Beasley’s musical talents are far-reaching and span many styles of music. Active as a performer, songwriter, arranger and producer, John has recorded with Miles Davis, Dianne Reeves, Al Jarreau, Ricky Martin, Eric Marienthal, Walter Becker, Lee Ritenour, Chaka Kahn and Hubert Laws. He has toured with Miles Davis, Steely Dan (as Musical Director), Chaka Kahn, Freddie Hubbard, John Patitucci and Boz Scaggs. Busy as a studio musician in the Los Angeles area, John can be heard on the scores of Erin Brockovich , The Horse Whisperer, Little Women, The Green Mile, Hope Floats, A Bug’s Life and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, among many others. Just a few of the television and commercial productions for which he has composed are: Star Trek, Cheers, Fame, Family Ties, Saab, Dodge, Mattel, Blockbuster and Isuzu.

Dave Loeb piano A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Dave Loeb has been recording TV and film scores in Los Angeles studios for the last twenty years. His work can be heard on nearly all of the Disney movies in recent years, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. His playing has graced the soundtracks of many other feature films such as Titanic and Geppetto as well as most of the extensive Mike Post television library, notably The A-team. Dave can be heard on recordings by Curtis Mayfield and Fran Jefferies, was Musical Director for Ben Vereen and for the past five years has played in the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Not content to limit his activities to music, Dave has written the liner notes for a number of Japanese albums, and contributed illustrations and photographs to several albums, including Blues on the Loose (various artists), Cool Paradise (Ben Sidran) and Depleting Moral Legacy (Leo Sidran).
